Glen Dalzell

President

Glen has been in the factoring and ABL industry since 1999. He has financed dozens of transactions and has strong relationships with the financing industry and members of the banking, accounting, financial consulting and legal professions. Prior to joining the industry, Glen garnered a wide range of experience in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments.
He is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Toronto.

Alan Spergel

Managing Director

Alan is the Managing Director of Spergel Corporate Finance. From the very first business owner he helped back in 1989, Alan’s philosophy has always been to assist corporations in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while keeping the goals and vision of the company in mind.

Brian Conrad

Vice President, Atlantic Region

Brian is a native of Halifax and a graduate of St. Mary’s University. With 35 years of senior Commercial Banking and Business Development experience across Canada, Brian is well known in the Halifax regional market. Brian specializes in all forms of financing for his clients, ranging from leasing, sales lease back, factoring, real estate financing, ABL financing, unsecured working capital financing to PO financing. With enthusiasm, Brian utilizes his wealth of experience and his broad contact base to find creative financial solutions for his clients..

Robert (Bob) Blades

Vice President, Business Development

Bob’s career has spanned 40+ years in the financial services industry. The first 20 years as a Commercial Banker where he maintained senior positions focusing on commercial credit, loan work outs and managing commercial lending units. The last 20+ years has been in alternative lending. Bob was one of the first asset-based lenders in Canada representing a USA firm in 1993. He then joined GE Capital as a Senior Vice President managing their Business Credit Group. Bob was instrumental in setting up Greenfield Financial Group Inc., a TSX listed company providing Asset Based Loans up to $10 Million. Most recently he has worked as a Financial Consultant to Small and Medium Enterprise to assist in structuring and sourcing any type of Debt Solution required.

Steve Buckley

Manager, Operations

Before joining Spergel Corporate Finance, Steve was with Liquid Capital Corp, helping franchisees develop and grow their funding portfolios. Steve joined Liquid Capital Corp from TCE Capital when it was acquired by Liquid Capital Corp. TCE was a privately held Canadian Asset Based lender where Steve worked in business development for about 10 years. Steve was an independent business consultant for several years before joining TCE, specializing in helping small business owners manage their businesses. Prior to that he was a Director at a Chartered Bank where he was involved in a variety of outsourcing, marketing and business development management roles. After graduating from The University of Toronto, Steve began his career at one of the world’s largest marketing research companies. (A.C. Nielsen) He left as a Vice President in 1995 to enter the financial services arena.
